My Digital Mirrror Camp Technology

At this camp, I made my own webpage. It has all my favorite colors in it like purple and green. I also have a lot of cool links to youtube, myspace, myyearbook, my picture page, and to my other blog about my school. I also have a video of Wall-E with some background music I made with Garageband. My other video is from Youtube where a German kid gets mad at his computer game a messes up his keyboard. I put some fun facts on there too just to add some information. I have my Imovie on there that is hilarious thanks to Ameenah. I wish i had put some music on my pic page but I think I can do that now.

The Toledo Art Museum and the Glass Pavilion.

Today I took a trip to the Toledo Art Museum and the Glass Pavilion. At the glass pavilion, we watched a demo of a glass blower go through the steps of making a glass piece. After the demo, we took a tour through the pavilion and I saw some interesting pieces. One was of a model of a diner made entirely of glass. I would have to say that this one was my favorite. I also liked this artwork made by Liza Lou. Liza Lou, is infamous for her work with glass beads. She has made full life size kitchen and backyards with beads and also a Windex bottle (shown left). Technology can connect to art in many ways. One of them is when an artist has to map out a sculpture or even a painting, he or she may need to use a computer to make it easier to map out a sculpture. At the actual art museum, we traveled to the inner parts of the museum to the CVA (Center for visual Arts) to look at some pieces from the artist Edith Franklin.

Ameenah Aisha Carroll

Ameenah Carroll is a thirteen year old soon to be 8th grader at Grove Patterson Middle School. Ameenah's favorite technology to use is a camcorder. At the Digital Mirror Camp that she attends, she is excited to learn how to make videos on Imovie. Ameenah says she is most like a bunny because she is scared (jumpy), busy, and frightened most of the time. She also says she is not like a snake is brave, calm, patient and she is not. Ameenah's favorite colors are green and orange.
